We hold several club events throughout the year suiting players of all levels and abilities.
London Petanque Club members also compete regularly at the very top level of the sport both nationally and internationally with both male and female representatives from the club having played for England.
Held at Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens every first Saturday of the month throughout the year, this popular doubles competition is open to all club members at just £10 a team.
Our annual ‘Shotgun’ competition takes place early in the season and is an a la melee triples competition where a designated shooter chooses his team by picking their names from a barrel!
This annual event brings London -based clubs together to compete in a ‘round robin’ style competition of triples, doubles and singles.
Taking place over four consecutive Thursday evenings in June, LPC members can enjoy some competitive games on summer evenings from 7pm.
London Petanque Championship
2019 is the 2nd year for this prestigious competition taking place in June with 128 teams from across the globe looking to showcase an exceptionally high standard of petanque whilst competing for a share of the £5500 prize money. Read more…
The Eurocup is a competition for clubs. The preliminary rounds are played between clubs around the country (like the F.A. Cup in football). The semi finals (4 teams each) are played at a neutral venue as is the final (4 teams). The winning club goes on to represent England in the European rounds against the winning clubs from around Europe.
Inter Regional Championships
Taking place this year at Hayling Island the competition is for all regions of PE.Each region will have 8 teams in the main competition and 4 in the Challenge. Each team plays 12 games over two days and the winner is the region with the most overall wins.
This annual competition run by Simon Adamsdale (UK) and Ernesto (US) is played in Bryant Park New York and Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens London on alternate years.
